Who is The Lady of the World?
That’s me, Amancay Tapia, a Filmmaker and Writer. I have directed one full length feature film entitled “Campo De Batalla” and went all the way to Bolivia to film this. The experience was worth it but totally exhausting. My latest short film “Rescue Me“, won the Golden Palm at the Mexico International film festival. In May you can sometimes spot me in The Cannes Film Festival where I get to walk the red carpet.Oh yes, I told you we do glam here sometimes!
I studied English Philology at University so the proud owner of a B.A (Hons) English. Afterwards , I completed a Masters in Filmmaking at Goldsmiths College, University of London. I also studied Piano and Musical notation for 5 years as well as Dramatic Art.Studying literature gave me the skills to be a prolific writer and now a prolific blogger too.
Something unusual about me: I was a placard bearer in the London 2012 Olympics.I went to a casting and Danny Boyle chose me to be one of the girls walking alongside the flag bearers of each country during the Athletes Parade of both the Opening and Closing ceremonies.A memorable experience indeed.
